EPFO To Go Paperless, All Services Online by August 2018

EPFO will be online, All Services will be a Click Away By August 2018

TO reduce the corruption and harassment of public EPFO is going to take a big step to stop the same. Employees Provident Fund Organisation is planning to go online according to directions of Digital India initiative of PMO and Government of India

This step by EPFO will not only suppress the corruption but also improve quality of services provided to more than 5 crore members of EPFO. It is necessary to mention that EPFO has already launched many services online through their UAN portal. These services include Check EPF balance, e-Passbook download, EPF Withdrawal etc.

EPFO runs social security schemes like EPF, Pension and Insurance of Private sector workers. It would be a bang bang situation for both employees and employers of private sector workers as it will save them both from exploitation and harassment. Employees will get funds when they need without intervention of employee and they need not go through painful process of EPF services.

Central Provident Fund Commissioner V P Joy said “The EPFO has set a target. We have decided to make electronic paper-free organisation by next the Independence Day where all services will be provided electronically (through online or mobile handsets),”

He also stated that with paperless EPFO, EPF contributors will not have to visit local PF offices to get EPF services and it will result in saving human resource and make it easy for them.

EPFO Housing Scheme

He also mentioned about the EPFO’s Housing Scheme under which EPF makes down payment and pay monthly installment for EPFO contributor to buy home.

Needless to mention EPFO runs the following three schemes:

1. Employees Provident Fund Scheme 1952
2. Employees Pension Scheme 1995
3. Employees Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme 1976.
