Provident Fund Withdrawal Online Now in 10 Days

Now On you can withdraw PF in half time as online claim facility is introduced by Retirement fund manager on 1st May 2017. Retirement fund manager has reduced the claim settlement period for different claims. EPF withdrawal, Insurance and pension claims are to be settled in 10 days in spite to 20 days which was the claim settlement period previously. However, the settlement timeline for grievance redressal management is still 15 days.

Previously in July 2015 EPFO has already reduced the claim settlement period of many claims to 20 days to speed up the process. This reduction in claim settlement period has benefitted more than 4 crore EPFO subscribers.

This is another step in speeding up the process of claim settlements. In future EPFO plans to settle claims online in few hours. This facility will be available for employees who have Adhaar Number and Bank Account details added in their EPF account.

The Retirement Fund Manager has also cleared that the process of claim settlement is hassle free as he EPF subscriber need not contact employer and EPFO officers to get their claim settled. EPFO subscriber can submit the claim online. The claim application would be submitted and then verified with EPFO database and claims will be processed to member’s bank account only. The member need not provide any supporting documents to get their claim passed.

EPFO members who have already activated their UAN and submitted KYC details can apply online through UAN interface online. They can use the following forms.
1. Provident Fund Final Settlement – Form19
2. Pension Withdrawal Benefit –Form10-C
3. Part Withdrawal –Form31

Universal Account Number (UAN) is allotted to every EPFO subscriber which has facilitated them with portability of PF account from one employer to another. With UAN the member can check all previous and current provident fund account details. The member can also transfer balance from previous PF accounts through UAN.

The member has to submit KYC details in UAN to avail online operation facilities. IN KYC the member has to submit Aadhaar Number, Pan Number and Bank Details.
